Serene Stay with Memorable Service!
We spent two nights in a lovely twin room with disability access. The firm beds surprised us pleasantly! Don't miss the delightful local dining options nearby. Remember to ask for a mattress topper if you prefer softer bedding. Overall, a deeply relaxing visit.

Family with children well received
We had some fantastic experiences here the free drinks in the lobby every evening were a nice touch especially after a long day. Also the staff went all out helping us find the best local spots to eat they even gave us a detailed map of the area.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but you get what you pay for.

My stay at Wood Takayama was delightful, with a cozy Standard Twin Room and a serene environment that felt both modern and traditional. The staff provided exceptional service. A minor downside was the mattress firmness, but the relaxing indoor bath made up for it.

The location of Wood Takayama excels with easy access to attractions and dining options. Our Standard Twin Room felt cozy and thoughtfully decorated in warm wood tones. The indoor public bath proved refreshing after a day of exploring. Breakfast impressed with its authentic Japanese flavors. We loved the free sake available from 5 PM. However, the soundproofing in the rooms needs attention. I could hear people outside talking late at night. This affected the overall comfort during our stay. Late-night laundry hours also felt restrictive, limiting convenience. Nonetheless, parking right outside was a bonus.

great service but room needs updates
The hotel staff provided exceptional service, accommodating our family with a small child. The free beer and sake tasting every night added a nice touch to our evenings.
The room felt somewhat outdated, which impacted my overall experience.

The location on a quiet street provided a peaceful escape while still being within walking distance of key attractions. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the beautiful spa area to the unique evening drinks, including local sakes. Even with the excellent amenities, I found the laundry dryer slow and less effective, which was a minor inconvenience. Breakfast featured delicious vegetable dishes, and the staff were accommodating regarding dietary preferences.
